It's that time of the year! Time for our 2nd annual Frank Sinatra Holiday Show! Two hours of Christmas music from Frank Sinatra and friends. During his career, Frank Sinatra released three Christmas albums: one in the 40s, one in the 50s and one in the 60s. We will be playing selections from each of these albums on the next episode of the FS Detention Club. See below for the times.

S2E03- Pop Goes Sinatra!

On the new episode of the FS Detention Club, we explore Frank Sinatra's relationship with pop music. For a time, Sinatra was pop music. Then, as he got older, Sinatra's music became recategorized to "American Standards" or "Easy Listening" or "Adult Contemporary." During the latter part of his career, Sinatra often dipped his toes into the popular music by covering some of the the biggest hits of the time. We will listen to these covers, plus the crossover hits that Sinatra had that spanned all charts.

This episode premieres on November 10 at 2pm, Eastern on Vinyl Voyage Radio.

"LA is My Lady" Music Video

In 1984, Sinatra made it on MTV. The video for "LA is My Lady," featuring many cameos from pop and rock stars of the time, went into rotation on the music video channel. In S2E02 of the FS Detention Club, we take a look at Sinatra during this time. Check out the video below.

S2E02: "Sinatra in the 80s"

On the last episode of the Detention Club, we examined Sinatra's career in the 70s. On this new episode we look the next decade in the career of Ol' Blue Eyes. During the 1980s, Sinatra released three albums, including his last solo studio album, LA is My Lady in 1984.

The FS Detention Club - S2E01

On the first episode of Season 2 of the FS Detention Club, we are going to pay a visit to the 1970s and stroll through all of Sinatra's releases from that decade. Often, this period of Sinatra's career is overlooked. We aim to change that! This episode premieres on Sunday, September 1 at 2pm (Eastern). FS Detention Club is on Hiatus!

Well, that wraps up Season 1 of the FS Detention Club. I hope you enjoyed it.

We are trying to figure some things out for Season 2. However, as we stream out of Canada, due to disagreements over licensing, our streams are currently blocked in the United States.

We are not sure what the future holds. Hopefully, the FS Detention Club will be back shortly.
