On the next FS Detention Club, we are spinning nothing but shellac. That's right: original shellac disks, spinning at 78 rpm. We will be featuring Sinatra's second album, "Songs by Sinatra" from 1947.

On the next episode of the FS Detention Club, we are spinning Vinyl and Shellac. Sinatra went solo at a time of transition in music. In 1948, his first album was re-released on the very first pop vinyl album, spinning at 33 1/3 rpm. But he also released music in the older format 78 rpm, on shellac.
We will spin Sinatra's first release, The Voice of Frank Sinatra on a 1952 45 rpm vinyl disc set and several singles from the 40s on 78 rpm shellac.
On the last episode, we went to the beginning and played side 1 of the original Frank Sinatra Detention Club tape from 1991. Now, we are flipping it over and listening to side 2.

On the next episode of the FS Detention Club, I will be playing the first side of that tape.
